
HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 206

Requesting the Commissioner of the West Virginia Division of
Highways to name the new Bridge on U. S. Route 119 that
crosses Berkeley Run, near the community of Webster in Taylor
County, West Virginia, the "SSG Anissa Ann Shuttleworth Shero
Bridge."

Whereas, SSG Anissa Ann Shuttleworth Shero, a West Virginia
native, was from Grafton, in Taylor County; and

Whereas, The adoption of Senate Concurrent Resolution 204 by
the West Virginia Legislature during the Second Extraordinary
Session of the Seventy-Fifth Legislature honored SSG Anissa Ann
Shuttleworth Shero for her life and dedication of service and
devotion to her country and state; and

Whereas, It is altogether fitting that SSG Anissa Ann
Shuttleworth Shero, a national hero, be memorialized for valiantly
serving to protect her state and country and for giving her life to
preserve the freedoms enjoyed by her fellow West Virginians; therefore, be it

Resolved by the Legislature of West Virginia:

That the Commissioner of the West Virginia Division of
Highways is hereby requested to name the new Bridge on U. S. Route
119 that crosses Berkeley Run, near the community of Webster in
Taylor County, West Virginia, the "SSG Anissa Ann Shuttleworth
Shero, Memorial Bridge"; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the commissioner is requested to have
made and be placed at both ends of the bridge, signs identifying
the bridge as the "SSG Anissa Ann Shuttleworth Shero, Memorial
Bridge"; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates is
hereby directed to forward a copy of this concurrent resolution to
the Secretary of Transportation, the Commissioner of the Division
of Highways, the Director of the Division of Veteran's Affairs and
to the family of SSG Anissa Ann Shuttleworth Shero.
